Aspire2 Group Limited comprises five New Zealand based private tertiary education and training groups made up of twelve high quality Private Training Establishments.  We provide education and vocational training to almost 7,000 domestic, international and business to business students each year.

Mark Wilson

Mark Wilson

Chair

Mark has a Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales. He also has over 16 years of private equity experience with Fisher Capital Partners, Goldman Sachs Australia, Rand Merchant Bank, and Macquarie Bank. Mark is a Partner at Archer Capital and was previously Managing Director and Head of Private Equity at Goldman Sachs where he was responsible for the private equity activities of the firm in Australia and New Zealand (including being responsible for the firm’s investment in Kathmandu and being Chairman of NZ-based Company Senior Vision Living).

Sussan Turner

Sussan Turner

Chief Executive

Sussan has been in senior leadership roles for the past 25 years, including as Managing Director of Radio Otago (a publicly listed Company), CEO of Radioworks, and Group CEO of MediaWorks NZ Limited. Experienced in business acquisitions and amalgamations, she is passionate about building executive teams and company cultures. She has recently been appointed by Government to the boards of TVNZ and AUT.

Peter Crossan

Peter Crossan

Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary

Peter is an experienced CFO and Chartered Accountant who has held a range of senior finance positions in both New Zealand and the UK. Peter has also had experience in general management and technology roles. Prior to joining Aspire2 in 2015, Peter spent 15 years at MediaWorks and played a key role in their successful Initial Public Offering in 2004. Peter has also spent time in the audit, banking, carpet and plastics industries giving him broad commercial experience across many financial, technology and strategic areas.

Over 35 years Mark has owned and operated more than 30 businesses, including six Private Training Establishments under the Big Fish Group umbrella. Mark registered Adventure Education, his first Private Training Establishment, in 1996 and has successfully navigated the constantly changing tertiary education sector for the last 19 years.

Michael Blickstead

Michael Blickstead

Non-Executive Director

Michael has a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) from Harvard University and Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. He has 8 years of private equity experience with Archer Capital and Goldman Sachs evaluating and investing in companies and funds across North America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. Michael is an Investment Director at Archer Capital and on the Board of Directors of the third largest for-profit private hospital in Australia, Healthe Care. Michael is also Co-Founder and Former Chairman of Young Canadians in Finance and Co-Founder of the Council of Young Leaders for the United Nations Greater Tumen Initiative.
